Artist Bluff Trail Parking Lot. This allows a 1.6 mi. We parked at cannon mountain rv park and there was no sign to the trail head.
18, and then ascending steeply to artist's bluff, with wonderful views of lafayette and cannon ski area. artist bluff is a great trail to get great views of franconia notch with out hiking the notch itself. It was a nice cool down that was mostly flat. The trail starts here but please park at echo lake beach parking lot 100 yards ahead.
On foot, take a right onto profile road and walk about a tenth of a mile along the road.
Where the highway crosses the cpr tracks, continue east on hawkins pickle rd. You need to go right at this junction for artist's bluff. It came directly up from route 18, passed near both summits and descended to the gravel parking lot by our car. It was a nice cool down that was mostly flat.
